Privacy and Booking Terms
Rental Retreats: All accommodations will be cleaned at the beginning of the stay and are provided with bed linens, towels and other amenities for the number of people confirmed in the reservation. We kindly ask to leave the accommodation in good order on departure.
Members Travelling: The number of people staying at the accommodation should never, under any circumstances, exceed the amount of people agreed at the time of the reservation and stated on our confirmation e-mail. If any change occurs to the number of people travelling it must notified to the Joyful Retreats in writing, it is subject to approval and it may have an additional cost.
Code of Behavior: Renters are to respect and will be held responsible for the property, traditions and basic rules of the area. If the party renting the property refuses or fails to respect such rules the owner of the property has the right to ask the party to leave the property immediately. Automatically, the renter loses all rights to any reimbursement of rental costs. If any damages occurred, Joyful Retreats or the property owner have the right to deduct the cost of the damage from the security deposit or from the renter's payment terms.
Payment Methods: The renter secures the accommodation by paying a reservation deposit via PayPal. All instructions will be given to the renter at the time of reservation. The renter is required to provide all the necessary information to Joyful Retreats to process the request. The booking will only be considered confirmed when the payment has been received.
Booking Confirmation: Once the booking is confirmed, Joyful Retreats will send the renter, within 48 hours, a confirmation e-mail containing all the information regarding the booking such as: reservation deposit paid, balance due, contact numbers to call during the stay, directions on how to reach the accommodation, and all the necessary and useful information. The renter is required to present a printed copy of the confirmation e-mail upon arrival.
Security Deposit and Damage fees: Depending on the property:
In the event of damages caused by the renter, ex. loss of keys; key broken in the lock, etc. a fee will apply depending on the cost of the service.
Check-in & Check-out: Check-in time is after 16:00 (4:00pm) unless differently specified or agreed. Check-out time is at any time before 10:00am unless differently agreed or specified.
If the client requires an early check-in, the property must be booked for the previous day from the arrival date (except in case of a special agreement with the property owner).
If the client requires a late check-out, the client must book the apartment for the day after the actual departure date (except in case of a special agreement with the property owner).
Please make sure that Joyful Retreats is appropriately notified of your expected time of arrival. The time of arrival is very important in order to arrange the appointment with the proprietor/his representative to welcome you into the accommodation and provide you with a set of keys. Please advise in regards to any arrival schedule changes /delays caused by flights, traffic, etc... Make sure to present the voucher upon arrival.
Cancellation and Refund Policy: Any cancellation or reservation change must be immediately communicated in writing to Joyful Retreats.
If you are cancelling a reservation:Unless otherwise specified in your rental agreement.
- From the Booking Date up to 60 days before arrival: you are required to pay 20% of the Total Rental Cost - From 60 to 30 days before arrival: you are required to pay 50% of the Total Rental Cost - From 30 days to the arrival date: you are required to pay 100% of the Total Rental Cost Refunds are provided in accordance to this cancellation policy.
- A) In the event the renter needs to reduce the number of days of the rental period, the Cancellation Policy will apply on the canceled days only.
- B) In the event the renter asks for an extension of the rental period, Joyful Retreats will check the availability before proceeding with the change of reservation: If the accommodation is available you will be asked for the cost of the additional stay (actual rates being estimated at the time of the extension). If the accommodation is not available, you have the choice to either confirm the original booking or cancel the reservation under the cancellation policy guidelines.
Property no longer available: In case the accommodation is no longer available at the time of arrival due to an unexpected setback, damages or other inconveniences, Joyful Retreats will offer an alternative accommodation with equal value at no extra charge.Should you decide not to accept our proposal and where it is not possible for the company to provide alternative accommodation to suit your requirements, you will be refunded of the entire advance payment.
Travel and Medical Insurance: We recommend to subscribe travel and medical insurance. To gather information on this matter please refer to the dedicated companies, some popular companies for your convenience are as follows: AIG (worldwide), or Travelex.
The information we request when making your reservation is required in order to offer you a professional service. We will eventually disclose your personal information to our trusted third parties only and for the sole purpose of completing your booking through us. In accordance with personal data protection laws, strict security procedures are observed at Joyful Retreats to prevent personal data misuse and unauthorized access.
Control over your data: You always have the right to review the personal data you eventually have stored with us. You can request additional information or clarifications by emailing us. Please state "request personal information" in the subject line of your email. If your personal data is incorrect, we will change it or remove upon your request.
Contacts: At any time you can contact us for questions or support about your booking or reservation. We reply as soon as possible within 48 hours at the latest.
Joyful Retreats is a booking agent company that accommodates travelers in vacation rentals, Villas and Bed & Breakfasts by inter-mediating on behalf of property owners. Joyful Retreats will not take over obligations and responsibilities with landlords and will not be responsible for disputes between the renter and the owner. Nor do we accept any liabilities for a guest damaging a vacation rental, nor a guest being injured, hurt, or displaced in any way. The renter agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Joyful Retreats its agents, affiliates, employees, and members, from any and all claims or matters unsettled.
Rules subject to change Your rental agreement is your official terms and conditions, for it is your contract. These online terms are simply for inquiry only and not used in place of the terms in your rental agreement that is signed before a booking is confirmed.
